How does it work?
UNDERSTANDING YOUR TREATMENT
Laser and light-based hair removal use energy absorbed by melanin - the pigment that gives hair its colour. This energy converts into heat, targeting the hair follicle and damaging the structures responsible for producing new hair.
Treatment is most effective during the active growth phase. Because individual hairs are at different stages of their growth cycle, a course of treatments is needed to target more hairs as they enter this responsive stage.
Understanding your hair-growth cycle
Each hair follows its own growth cycle, so neighbouring hairs can be at different stages. Laser hair removal is most effective during the active growth phase, known as anagen, when light energy absorbed by the hair’s pigment heats and damages the follicle.
Because only some hairs are in this phase at any one time, a course of treatments is needed. We tailor the frequency of your appointments to the treatment area and your response, aiming to target more hairs during active growth for gradual, long-term hair reduction.

SHR Hair Removal
SHR uses repeated pulses of light energy to gradually heat the hair follicles. The handpiece glides across the skin in a sweeping motion, building heat over several passes to achieve long-term hair reduction across a course of treatments.
